AREQUIPEÑA SEA SHELL + ALPACA METAL
$22.00 Sold Out
One of a kind traditional Arequipeña jewelry pieces from southern Peru. The metal used is Alpaca Silver which is an alloy* made up of copper, zinc and nickel and sometimes iron. The sea shell is called 'esplentulus", this is how the maker refer to it. The earrings are 2 inches long. I have purchased pieces from the maker for about three years, every time I come to Arequipa, Peru. I pay him what he asks for, I do not bargain for his labor.
